Set in beautiful but remote countryside, this is a working farm with a herd of prize winning rare breed pigs. There are also goats, sheep and cattle, geese and turkeys a children's play area and evening entertainment.

An extremely attractive Devonshire Longhouse with climbing roses, wisteria and fuchsias at the front. This is a working farm is set in a quiet, beautiful valley with beaches nearby. Meals served are good farmhouse fare, home cooking with large portions. A friendly atmosphere encourages conversation amongst guests.

Away from the town centre, the road which separates the hotel from the promenade and the sandy beach has a fairly light flow even in August. This grand Victorian house has a number of very comfortable lounges and neat, if smallish bedrooms. Very nice garden in front, entertainment in the evenings and a friendly atmosphere.

Although the hotel is on the outskirts of Torquay, it is possible to walk to the centre and beach promenade about half a mile away. Lincolme Hall consists of two adjoining houses standing in about five acres of gardens and flowerbeds. The restaurant is ideally positioned to make the most of the view across the attractive gardens and swimming pool. The hotel has received several recommendations from visually impaired people. One guest said she couldn't recommend it enough.

Nine bedrooms have access via a ramp. Guide dogs are welcome. There is room service but not 24 hour. Easy access around the garden area but some steps from the patio. Good colour contrast in public areas and rooms.

This large Victorian Hotel leads straight onto the wide, sandy, surfing beach at Woolacombe. It would be difficult to be bored here. There is so much to do and it is all on the doorstep. As well as the optional activities, evening entertainment is provided in season in a large spacious ballroom on the lower ground floor. A quiet adult only lounge provides a peaceful refuge for the less sporty. Bedrooms are spacious and airy and the restaurant is luxurious, overlooking the beach and gardens. Self catering apartments are also available.

The Great Western Hotel

The Great Western takes it 's name from the beach that it overlooks and not, as you might think from the proximity to the railway station. There are several spacious lounge areas as well as an indoor pool if you want to work off the calories. The attitude of the staff and the management has received special mention 'When they realised we had two dogs they upgraded us to a family room' said one guest. There is a gently sloping walkway down to the beach.

This is a converted Georgian House, which has been totally refurbished by the owners.
The accommodation is of a high standard and is immaculately kept throughout. It is rated five diamonds in the AA Guide, the highest standard for a B & B establishment. The lounge is spacious and comfortable while the dining room on the ground floor (a flight of stairs down) is fresh and bright. Close by, the beach is pebbly and you may wish to travel out of town if a sandy beach is important to you.

Ten bedrooms all en-suite. Hotel is situated one hundred yards from the sea front. A non smoking , non allergenic hotel. Parking is restricted in Penzance but the hotel has a car park. Three ground floor bedrooms. Good bright colour contrast. Flat promenade one hundred yards away. Dining room well laid out and clearly lit.
No guide dogs as the hotel tries to be anti allergenic for asthma sufferers.
